Converting Lieutenant Titus into a Captain for my Kill Team
I’d had this idea swimming around for some time, ever since going to a kitbash day at Bristol Independent Gaming and acquiring the huge sword from a Sisters of Battle Paragon Warsuit . The idea is for this Captain to lead the Killteam I kitbashed a few years ago, representing a custom Chapter called The Warders of the Emperor's Heart: These conversions include all sorts of spare parts, including some banners, parchments and a book (held in the hand of the marine third from l

Salute, a look forward to UK Games Expo, plus projects!
Salute was an excellent show, bigger even than last year, with so much to see and do it was impossible to cover it all in a day. It was lovely to catch up with the friends I did meet up with and very cool to see folks I'd not met face to face before but have known online for a long time! Lovely chats as always with Annie at Bad Squiddo, Ian at Fenris Games, Mike Hutchinson (Gaslands, Hobgoblin, Space Gits), Greg of Man o' Kent Games, Ben at Cerberus Studios and Warren at Ambe

Blood Angels, American Civil War and upcoming shows!
Hi all, Well despite my initial determination to make my site blog a regular feature, almost a year slipped by since my last post about my Blacksmith's house project. Oops! So what's been happening? Well since before Christmas, and with a hiatus in December with a few weeks of flu and subsequent recovery, I've been working on probably my largest one-chunk commission to date; Union and Confederate armies for Epic Battle Scale American Civil War. These are from Warlord Games

Making my Blacksmith's House
This originally appeared as a thread on Bluesky where I documented the process of building and painting a model Blacksmith’s house incorporating the Blacksmith forge set which I bought from Iron Gate Scenery a couple of years ago at UK Games Expo. I’ve reedited the whole piece with additional details, so I hope it will be helpful to anyone embarking on a similar scratch build project. Whenever I begin a project like this, I start by drawing a template for the wall sections

Are you ready for Zeo Genesis?
Guardcorps and Pact clash in a city sector Hopefully by now you will have seen that Zeo Genesis is launching on Gamefound on April 29th! Zeo Genesis is a scaleable skirmish game with big mech suits. It's fast moving with a lot of tactical possibilities, as I found out in a demo game with Gav Thorpe at UK Games Expo last year! The game is from Best Hobby Games and is written by Andy Chambers with narrative by Gav Thorpe. For updates on the game the best place is https://gamef

Salute 2025
Var'ac Wraiths Salute 52 was on Saturday 12th April, and it was an excellent time! I spent the day painting at Cerberus Studios' stand (TC10), working on these three very dynamic Var'ac Wraiths - vampires who can transform into mist and back at will. I got pretty far with them on Saturday but didn't quite finish, so I spent a bit of time today to get them completed - good fun trying to get across the idea of them emerging from mist into solid form! With Ben (on right) of Cerb

February news round-up
Vashtorr Hi folks, We're only into February, but there's a lot going on already this year in the world of Pandaemonium Miniatures. Painting-wise I've been working on several private commission projects including Black Legion, Blood Angels and Aeldari for Warhammer 40k armies (gallery below), as well as some of the latest Conquest releases from Para Bellum Wargames. Archangel work in progress, with 40mm Errant of the Order of the Shield for scale The first of these is the gar

Painting the Fighting Fantasy 75mm Shapechanger
Hi folks - I have produced here a free .pdf detailing how I have painted the Shapechanger figure - this is the method I used both for the one I painted for Sir Ian Livingstone at Fighting Fantasy Fest 5 in September, and the one in the images which was for another private client more recently. Making the Warlock of Firetop Mountain diorama
Hi all, The following step-by step originally appeared as a Patreon post yesterday and I thought it might be a good way to kickstart the News page as I intend for this to be a bit of a blog as well as signposting for events I'm attending etc. Hope you enjoy it and find it useful! I tend to document projects like this and my scenery pieces, taking pictures as I go along so I can write them up. In the past I have produced quite detailed Twitter/X threads on the process; this ti
